After spending a few weeks in Pokhara we made our way back to Kathmandu. However, this time we were fortunate enough to stay at a LUXURY RESORT that had more history than we knew anything about!
The Kathmandu Guest House opened in 1968 and is the flagship hotel of the KGH Group. With a location that canβt be beat, in fact center of the tourist hub known as Thamel, this hotel is credited for the beginning of adventure tourism in Nepal!

A few examples being Ricky Martin, Jimmy Carter, Jeremy Irons, and iconic mountaineer Reinhold Messner, among many many others. And itβs easy to see why! The grounds are impeccable, the staff are incredibly accommodating, the rooms are spacious and fitted with everything you need, and there is a air of calmness that surrounds the entire grounds.
