As many of you know, I love the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, but I didn’t always love it. In the last few years, the more I learned about its origins, the history of the brand, the story of its design, and what inspired it, I came to love and eventually own one.
Why do I now consider it the perfect almost luxury watch, and what changed my perception? In seeking answers to these questions, I decided the best way was to borrow the Ref. 15450ST.OO.1256ST.01 midsize with the stunning silver “tapisserie” dial, steel case, and integrated bracelet from the WatchBox inventory.
