All information discussed has been taken and compiled from a number of online sources. I feel like a lot of the detail is not based on 100% proof in all cases, of who the guilty brands are (my opinion anyway!)
I feel that unless the brand admits to the practice, it’s hard to categorically accuse. My verdict is that it’s absolutely going on in the industry, and it’s gross.
As to exactly which brands are doing it, I wouldn’t like to say, although the consensus in the articles is that it’s Stella McCartney, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Burberry and Richemont (who own brands including Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels and Piaget). This information was written in 2018, so things may have changed since then – e.g. I know Burberry quit doing this when they were found out!!
