Your best Thailand travel tips in Nakon Sawan is Wat Khao No the home of monkeys and bats Nakhon Sawan Thailand

Wat Khao No is located next to the highway AH2 on the left side if you are coming from Kamphaeng Phet. You will see the mountains from far away from the highway.

The first stop is the small souvenir village with rice fields and photo opportunities. If you come at sunset this place is crowded with people who come to sit down and look at millions of bats coming out from the mountain.

If you drive until you can only turn right you can park and feed the monkeys. Buy some snacks and the people here will watch your car when you climb the mountain. If you want to park your car in a secure place, you can turn right and after 50 meters you will see a big gate. Buy some cold drinks here and they will watch your car for free.

The monkeys here are not aggressive but they will steal your food or snacks if you carry it openly so be careful. They will pick the food from your hand and also climb on you.

The first mountain is at the end of the road next to the temple and it also has a small cave with Buddha statues, but you need to bring a flashlight because it’s very dark and has no lighting.

The mountain near the Wat Khao No temple has normal steps all the way to the top and from there you have a 360 degrees view. It will take you about 1 hour to walk up to the top view point. It is not a very hard walk and most people can do it, just bring some water and don’t forget to bring your trash down again.

The Khao No Viewpoint mountain is located near the exit of the temple gate on the same side. There is no sign in English, just a big empty space and a small stair. At the first there are normal steps but after a while you need to climb steep iron ladders all the way to the top. Small children and older people should not try to climb here. You need to bring your own supplies and it takes about two hour to climb this view point. There is a small Buddha on the top with bells to ring and an amazing 360 view.
