📌 WHAT IS THE LEXUS LY 680?
The LY 680 is the evolution of Lexus’ flagship luxury yacht, the LY 650. Announced on March 21, 2024, and now arriving in 2026, the LY 680 embodies Lexus’ “Crafted” design philosophy, extending the brand’s legendary attention to detail beyond four wheels and into open water.
Construction is handled by the Horizon Group at their Vision Shipyard in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, one of Asia’s most respected superyacht builders with nearly four decades of custom luxury yacht experience, headed by Founder and CEO John Lu.
Lexus describes the concept as: “A hideout in the middle of the sea — a space where discerning customers can feel free and at ease.”

Austin Lin is the President of Vision Shipyard, the Horizon Group company responsible for construction of the Lexus LY series, as well as the Horizon V series. A specialist in yacht design with decades of industry experience, Austin Lin has built over 400 yachts in his career and guided Vision Shipyard into one of Asia’s foremost builders of custom luxury and superyachts. He has served as Horizon Group’s primary spokesperson for the LY 680 collaboration with Lexus and participated in the official world premiere press event at the 2024 Horizon Open House.
