Things you need to know before you go to Maui Hawaii. Maui Weather: Maui is not always warm everywhere. Maui is Windy, The Maui Mountains are COLD. Bring an umbrella, sunscreen, and warm jacket to Maui. Food in Maui is expensive, restaurants and groceries. Driving in Maui is slow. Don’t plan for “a mile a minute.” Relax
Maui has many single lane roads – particularly on the Road to Hana. Let faster traffic pass
Maui has lots of great hiking, but bring mosquito repellent. Seriously.
Snorkeling in Maui is better close to shore. Don’t do the afternoon cheap snorkel excursions, it’s too windy.
Clothing: Barefoot can be hot! Bring good sandals or shoes.
Petty crime: Hide all your valuables in your car. Or better yet.. don’t leave any in the car.
