Halong Bay is a UNESCO world heritage site and also one of the world’s new seven natural wonders, known for its towering limestone rock formations surrounding the bay. I would highly recommend putting this place on your list next time you visit Vietnam. The best way to see the bay is by booking a cruise and spending 1-2 on the water and seeing it up close. When you’re there you can also go kayaking, snorkeling, fishing and even take a smaller speed boat to experience it further.
Another fun fact: Hạ Long means “descending dragon” in Vietnamese! 🐉
