The Cessna Citation Encore is a very popular light jet, introduced as an upgrade to the beloved Citation Ultra. The Encore is known for its superior cabin comforts, lower operating costs and longer range than competing lights jets. Upgraded with Pratt & Whitney Canada PW535A engines, the Encore has an impressive range of 1600 statute miles.
The Citation Encore is able to operate out of shorter airfields, allowing it to takeoff and land in places typically suitable only for turboprops. The cabin measures at 4′ 9″ in height, 4′ 10″ in width and 17′ 2″ in length. The cabin offers amenities usually found in larger jets such as a full refreshment center and fully-enclosed lavatory. The Encore’s 43 cubic feet of external baggage space and 28 cubic feet in the interior, allow for passengers to travel with everything they need for business or pleasure.
The cabin amenities can also include XM satellite radio, Airshow entertainment system, DVD Player, individual flat panel entertainment systems, Bose noise-cancelling headphones, a satellite phone, a refreshment center and fully-enclosed lavatory.
As far as performance goes, the Citation Encore is equipped for faster climbs to altitude, resulting in a more comfortable ride. This jet flies at 495 mph at its maximum certified flight level of 45,000 feet, carrying up to 7 passengers comfortably. To make the cabin feel larger, the Encore is set up in a center-club configuration with seamless wall panels, fully reclinable seats, indirect lights, and mirrors. For all of these reasons, the Encore is very popular for both business and personal jet charter.
