Despite the great construction quality and attention to detail, there’s not much to enjoy from the leather because of the heavy finish applied. Chanel’s caviar leather finish involves pressing an artificial pattern on the leather to give it that grainy look and then followed up with a layer of what seems like thick plastic.
Might be a good choice if you’re into ‘perfect’ looking leather, but not if you’d like something that will age with time and have character to it.
