The Old Rectory on the lake at Tal-y-llyn is now in its eleventh year of providing luxury bed and breakfast accommodation in a stunning location in Wales. When the owners came to this delightful part of southern Snowdonia they said they only planned on doing this for eight years so do not be surprised if 2016 is their last! This short, fast moving video, celebrates a decade of John and Ricky sharing their home with many a discerning guest and we see Tal-y-llyn in her many moods – absolutely still with incredible reflections, whipped up by autumnal high winds and then bursting her banks after a sudden summer deluge resulting in many an abandoned car marooned in the flood waters opposite. One romantic guest proposes in the hot tub while fireworks crackle overhead and another praises chef Ricky’s fine dining. Indeed some guests are so moved by the breath taking scenery of Tal-y-llyn that they resort to music and a double rainbow over the lake makes the small screen at the end of a weather report.
