Starting off at the bottom end you could purchase something like this for less than $5,000. However, you’ll have to build it yourself and will cost you about 250 hours to do so. However, it only has a cruise speed of 64 mph.
If you don’t wan’t something that looks less like a redbull flugtag float, then you’ll have to spend a little more.
At around the $30,000 mark you can get something like this but it’s still only got one seat and is powered by a two cylinder 18hp 4 stroke lawnmower engine.
If you want something more powerful you could go with a multi engine plane starting at $75k for something like this 1956 Beechcraft D50 with a more impressive 295HP engines, 6 seats and airspeeds of around 197mph.
At the pricier end you could get yourself a Cessna T303 for around $320,000 with a max of 6 seats, and 2x 250 hp engines with a top speed of around 249 mph and a cruise speed of 226 mph.
