Tyler Perry was born and raised in New Orleans, to Willie Maxine (Campbell) and Emmitt Perry, Sr. His mother was a church-goer and took Perry along with her once a week. His father was a carpenter and they had a very strained and abusive relationship, which led Perry to suffer from depression as a teenager.
In 1991, Tyler Perry was working an office job, when he saw an episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show (1986) discussing the therapeutic nature of writing. This inspired him to begin writing and he worked through his bad experiences by writing letters to himself.
According to IMDB Tyler Perry, took on a series of odd jobs and found himself living in his car. But, in 1998, he was given a second chance to stage his play and, this time, he was more business-savvy with his marketing. The play was sold-out and drew attention from investors. Tyler has gone on to established a successful career as a writer, director and producer for stage, television and film. In 2011, Forbes listed him as the highest-paid man in entertainment, earning US$130 million between May 2010 and May 2011. Perry created and performs the Madea character, a tough elderly woman. Tyler Perry prides himself with 22 feature films to the plays and more than 1,200 TV episodes. Its Atlanta-based film production studio is the largest in the country and is valued at $ 280 million alone.
With the good return from his hard work, Tyler Perry is building his best home to enjoy with his family. Perry has a number of properties in Los Angeles and Atlanta, but this mansion outside of Georgia will most likely be the jewel on the crown. It is currently under construction, with work starting on it in 2018. Before that, Perry spent years working on the design and construction, so he clearly wants to make this his permanent residence.
To that end, it will include anything from a hangar for his private jet and his own personal airstrip, and even an organic farm. The Mansion is near Perry’s studio in GeorgiaAs you can see in the video below, which includes aerial footage of the estate, it’s a massive deal. Estimates put the construction at 35,000 square feet (3,251 square meters), while the land itself sprawls over 1,200 acres of land. The place is completely isolated, surrounded by woods, with an impressive driveway leading up to the grand entrance.
