Born the Eterna Kon Tiki Diver and hot-rodded by Porsche, the Porsche Design P’6780 Diver is a sports watch that brings unmatched pedigree and blue-sky imagination to the design and engineering of a tool watch.

Its immense 47mm titanium case features a clever articulated module that keeps the dive bezel fixed, the crown secure from blows, and the setting/winding functions of the watch readily accessible even when the P’6780 Diver is fixed to the wrist.

Moreover, Porsche Design worked with its then-watchmaking subsidiary Eterna to execute the clever lugs and impressive ergonomics. Each side of the supple natural rubber strap is linked to a spring-loaded articulated lug that ensures a precise fit on even the smallest wrists; a 6″ (15cm) circumference wrist can wear this Porsche Design diver with comfort and confidence.

The diver clasp as conceived by Eterna provides the best features of the dive watch genre in a single unit. Its twin-trigger release fixes the watch on the wrist with absolute security, and the double-deployant action provides easy closing action on smaller wrists. A generous flip-out dive extension permits easy donning of this Porsche Design diver over a wetsuit… or a thick winter coat.

Inside the burly titanium case, the Porsche Design P’6780 Diver features a rugged ETA 2892-A2 automatic movement. With a 42-hour power reserve, a quick set date, hacking seconds for precise time-setting, and a track record that includes service in the Omega Seamaster and Ulysse Narding Marine Chronometer, the 2892-A2 is the ideal engine for this all-terrain Porsche.
