Phoenix has a lot to offer but make sure you leave the city too. Head out to the Grand Canyon, Tucson, Tombstone and Sedona.

Phoenix is known as the valley of the sun because is sees more than 300 days of sunshine every year/ The desert climate makes this a hot and dry place to visit; so bring a water bottle and keep drinking, bring sunglasses especially if you are driving and make sure to wear a hat to share your face and avoid sun stroke. Light layers are also essential, as are proper trainers for those mountain hikes.
