Wonder what ever happen to this amazing 1930s Chevrolet Boat.

“Mr. Percy Hunt of Buffalo, New York, now goes to sea behind the wheel of a motor car.” During the week he sells automobiles. On weekends, the 1936 newsreel says, like the postman who goes for a walk on Sunday, he takes his floating motor car out on Lake Erie. It is a Chevrolet sedan body on a 35-foot hull. The ventipanes keep out spray as well as drafts, the six-cylinder valve-in-head engine came straight out of the car, original rubber mountings included, and a couple of hawsers make the best parking brakes. No hills, no stoplights, a driver’s paradise: one big boulevard with oceans of parking space. Five thousand pounds, cruising at 18, top speed 20 miles an hour. What a perfect car, the narrator says, for the streets of Venice.
